- On October 31 (Tuesday), a total of 220 people conducted disaster preparedness training in accordance with Article 35 of the "Framework Act On The Management Of Disasters And Safety"
▲ Fire departments, police stations, hospitals, and other related agencies directly participated in scenario training.
PCMO (Director Jo Min) conducted the '2023 Safe Korea Exercise' with related organizations in Hwasun county (Governor Gu Bok-kyu) on October 31.
On the day of the training, a total of 220 participants, including ▲ Hwasun Police Station ▲ Hwasun Fire Department ▲ Honam 119 Special Rescue Unit ▲ Army Unit 7391, ▲ Korea Electric Power Corporation Hwasun Office, 5 related agencies, ▲ KT Dongkwangju Branch ▲ Marine Energy ▲ Hwasun Chonnam National University Hospital ▲ Hwasun St. Mary's Hospital ▲ Hwasun Central Hospital, 5 private companies, ▲ Volunteer Fire Department ▲ Safety and Security Officer, 2 civil organizations, and employees of PCMO and Hwasun County Office participated. County Governor Gu Bok-kyu directly directed the training in coordination with the situation room and disaster scenes.
This training, in accordance with Article 35 of the “Framework Act On The Management Of Disasters And Safety” simulated a ‘large-scale fire and collapse accident in PCMO’ to review the disaster response and collaboration system related agencies within the jurisdiction.
The disaster control center and PCMO broadcasted real-time video, and County Governor Gu Bok-kyu directly commanded the step-by-step disaster response, recovery, and restoration.
Through this training conducted in PCMO, the participants learned the procedures such as reporting a fire, evacuation guidance, and initial response that should be performed immediately after a disaster occurs. This training also allowed them to enhance their response capabilities for real-life situations that may arise in the future.
